In this post, we will explore how to pair your TradesViz account with Questrade.
Once you select your trading account and broker as "Questrade" on the trade auto-import page, a popup box will appear when you click on the "Connect account" button.
The purpose of this blog post is to guide you to get this API code via login authentication on the Questrade website. Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Click on the link in the instructions in the popup box shown above
- Click on the "Allow" button (read-only permissions only) for TradesViz
- You will now be redirected to a page where you can copy the API code. Click on the copy to clipboard button.
- Paste the API key in the TradesViz connection page on the import page and click "Connect". You can also specify the IDs of the accounts if you want to sync only specific accounts.
Note: This connection only gives us READ-ONLY permission to your account to access your orders/trades. We do not have any other permissions. We do NOT have any trading/transfer of assets permissions.
Once you see the connection successful message, you can sync your connection.
